MMM - Furniture Funsies

Mostly Mute Monday presents Furniture Funsies!
To save me having mental meltdowns in furniture stores i have decided to use all these shopping expeditions to my advantage in looking for inspiration to sneak more equine themes into my home; eq-spiration of you will lolz.

Lovely collection of photos although I think i would personally prefer b&w
I hope others might get as much enjoyment out of this random collections of gems i found in stores (but didn't buy anything...yet) over the weekend. As always please excuse picture quality (or lack thereof) as i snapped these images quickly on my phone.

This beautiful rocking horse would ONLY have set me back €5,000!!!
The detail of the saddle is what I really love,
the "horse" itself is a little harder on the eye ... btv much - eek

These photos were all taken in the shop i have ordered my couch from. I was super lucky & am getting it at a steal of a price due to going to a home & leisure expo last month.

What my couch will hopefully look like...

...but with the base colour in this slate grey with
2 of the 10 cushions in burnt(ish) red

And last but by no means least, another shot of the adorabubble book ends!

PS: I have more photos from a secondhand store we went to after this fancy one that had actual tack amongst other equine goodies - which I hope to share in a Wordless Wednesday post. (Hopefully saying it now will hold me accountable to actually post again this week ;-) )

  1. Lovely stuff! I love gray couches, been drooling over a tufted gray velvet thing for awhile. Of course, I could never have a velvet couch and two huskies. Can you imagine?!

    1. Yikes, no matter how powerful your vacuum cleaner there would be no separating husky hairs from velvet!!!

    2. Would definitely like to see the vacuum that could handle that combo lol!

That rocking horse has a scary mane too... hair looks real-ish, and like it came from a person.

Couch looks like it would host some excellent naps. :D

  3. I want a couch in that shape. But then SO and I would probably just constantly fight over the lounge part.

    1. I guess it's lucky I'm shaping up to be an awesome spinster - only i collect horses instead of cats haha
Thanks I'm pretty excited about the colours, the pictures don't really do them justice, it is the same fabric in the three pics but each one makes it look like a different colour!

    1. Super stressful, I really need to nail down a bed next as although I doubt my parents will turf me out it's still a necessity you know

  9. I love furniture, especially when it has an equestrian theme! I have some tall boot salt and pepper shakers and equestrian themed jars that hold coffee/sugar but that it is. I need to get a house of my own then everything will be filled with ALL THE EQUESTRIAN THINGS

  10. Is it me, or is the crazy expensive rocking horse a little creepy looking? Creepy like the girl from The Ring? ;) Love the couch! :)
