She was such a great girl considering there was massive crashing as tractors and diggers worked to clear out the muck heap.
Please forgive my awful left leg and many other indiscretions in the tack.
A place where I record the adventures of myself and my Irish Sport Horse mare, Kika. Who I purchased as an un-backed 3yr old in 2007. This blog follows the trials and tribulations of first-time horse ownership since moving from Ireland to Luxembourg in 2010. UPDATE: as of 2013, Kika is being joined by Nancy a Friesan X ISH mare bred by my family who I had my eye on since she was a foal and have been lucky enough to buy and add to my equine family.
Gosh I love her! You ride so nicely btw! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so sweet to say that, it means so much coming from you as you do such an amazing job with Vallu ♡
DeleteAll I see when I watch the videos is everything I do wrong, but I can see some improvement from our last videos so that is something #ownharshestcritic
You guys look great! Don't be so hard on yourself :) Your lower leg is da bomb
ReplyDeleteI like my right leg, left leg is a shambles & needs serious work :-/

You guys look great! Your seat is great! I'm so glad you were able to get videos :)
ReplyDeleteAw thanks Jodi, I am so glad for the video - gives me.llenty insight into what needs fixing aka that left leg & those hands *faint*
DeleteYou guys look amazing! I love her boings at the beginning of the last video :)
ReplyDeleteShe was all about be canter in that last video, it deff doesn't come across how strong she got!
DeleteWe're nothing compared to what your future friesianX will accomplish under your tutelage ♡
she looks like such a fun ride - love the videos! also impressed with how nice and quiet you are in the saddle. i only just started riding in a dressage saddle and feel like i haven't quite figured out where everything goes yet haha
ReplyDeleteI felt so discombobulated that day, I thought I was bouncing about something awful in the canter...especially that last video as she got super strong on me - but doesn't look like it in the vid. Maybe I was imagining it *blush*
DeleteMy first few spins in the dressage saddle after riding in GPs my whole life took some getting used to!
Nancy is such a fancy mare! I forget how big she is and what pretty movement she has. I could watch her go around for hours!!
ReplyDeleteIt would be awesome if i could ride better - she could really fulfil her potential then...baby steps and some day i may get there
DeleteYou don't give yourself enough credit! You guys look great! A million miles ahead of me and Chrome lol.
ReplyDeleteAw thanks hun, we've had a lot more arena time & access to try and get things together. Re-wat hung those videos now I'm cringing at the length of my reins & how tense i am through my back in he canter work *shudder*
