Mostly Mute Monday

My baby sister and her friend came to the barn yesterday so I got some snaps of me on the girls and they both got a spin in on Nancy.

Kika looking good, eurgh -
me leaning = bad & again my hands grrrr!

I have poker arms but Nancy is looking good

Yikes - you could drive a bus through my hands -
I really didn't realise I had them so far apart!

Nancy be stridin'

Not too shabby N, pity about the jockey

Little sister playing with Nancy & the hose, isn't N so patient?!

    1. It was a fab way to spend the day at the barn, have been feeling a little lonely at the yard of late - prob contributing to my lack of motivation.
The good news is sister's friend has said she'd love to come back anytime so might not be so lonely in the future ☺

  5. Photos are so helpful to me in training -- it really shows off all the things you need to work on that you might not have noticed otherwise!

    1. I 100% agree & love when bodies can come to the barn with me for exactly this reason. Well that & blog fodder as it must get boring for you loyal readers to always be assaulted by cross-tie & grazing photos lol

I can only see glaring errors when I look at photos/videos of myself - however I cannot be happier with the ponios. They are looking ok - well in my biased opinion that is ;-)

  10. Love all the pics! You're a stud for riding two horses in a day. I'm always spent after just one! ;)

  11. Great photos! Looks like such a fun day! You had me laughing on the comment about driving a bus through your hands.... guess who else had that problem! Me! If you have a bucking strap on your saddle use it to help with keeping your hands together. If you don't have one you can tie some baling twine in a loop through the D rings on the pommel. It helps me a lot! Of course then I started riding a green horse (Chrome) and I'm back to having wide hands again LOL!!!! Or you could use a neck strap like this lady is doing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNIyh2WOOn8 It really helped me because I was bad about carrying my hands too low, arms too straight and hands too wide. Holding the strap up brought my hands into the correct position. Sometimes just feeling the correct way makes it easier to replicate without the strap. :) Keep up the great work!!
