So much for my blogging about my lopsided lent forcing me to be accountable for my resolution to ride every evening.
:-(
It is now 19.20 and I am just leaving the office (working day is suppose to end @5.30), and I've a belated birthday dinner to attend for a friend at 8pm so no barn time for me today.
I hope to make up for it tomorrow & every other day between now and Easter. Heck if I can pull this off I will have earned a crapton of chocolate, right?! ;-)
A place where I record the adventures of myself and my Irish Sport Horse mare, Kika. Who I purchased as an un-backed 3yr old in 2007. This blog follows the trials and tribulations of first-time horse ownership since moving from Ireland to Luxembourg in 2010. UPDATE: as of 2013, Kika is being joined by Nancy a Friesan X ISH mare bred by my family who I had my eye on since she was a foal and have been lucky enough to buy and add to my equine family.
Forgive yourself when you fall short and aim to do better the next day :)
ReplyDeleteGreat advice as always.

For some reason your blog fell off of my blog list so I missed a bunch of your posts. I will now go back and try to catch up! And I agree with L. Williams forgive and focus on doing better next time!
ReplyDeleteGald you found your way back, hopefully your catch up won't be too much of a snoozefest as you wade through the nonesensical drivel I post.
DeleteI changed my blog url to reflect blog name change (a year late as blog name changed with Nancy's arrival) - and I think it has saldly stopped showing up on peoples reading lists...well either that or my waffle has finally become boring enough that people have packed in trying to wade through it ;-)
I do think that is probably what happened because I know I didn't take it off on purpose but if it doesn't show up on my list I'm terrible about remembering. I just saw your post the other day and thought "man I haven't seen a post from her in a long time" so I went to check and realized I'd missed a whole bunch of posts. I got it added back on my list though so no worries.
DeleteI was thinking this may have happened, super glad you found your way back and hope the catch up reading didn't send you to sleep!
DeleteIf it's something you can't control, like work and a friend's birthday, then don't feel too bad. If you're feeling really guilty then just go a day without chocolate ;)
ReplyDeleteNot sure I'll ever feel THAT guilty :-p
DeleteI agree with the others. Life gets in the way and there is nothing you can do about it. Don't consider it a failure. It's just a block in the road. Keep up the great work! :D
