Poorly Personage

Due to some apparently dodgy food on Thursday evening I was rather incapacitated for the weekend and actually out of work on Friday.
Food poisoning is no bueno  :-(

New girl F bravely sharing with Nancy
while K photo bombs front haynet

Poor ponies were stuck inside from Wednesday evening to Sunday afternoon when I finally got back to the yard to put them out for a couple of hours yesterday. Turning them out and doing a quick clean of the stables wiped me out and meant I spent the rest of the afternoon on the couch vegging in front of the TV.

Kika playing nice with new girl...may have something to do
with it being easier to have another head to counterbalance
swing of the haynet for hay access ;-)
Not stupid my ponios

It was super wet & windy those days anyway, so I think they'll forgive me for leaving them wrapped up warm & dry inside - happy coincidence really.
I didn't get out to them on my lunch break today either sadly as i was filling in for another person at the office, so by the time i got on top of their work and mine it was a belated home - time for me. 7pm vs 5.30pm - Admittedly i don't often get to leg it on the dot of 5.30 anymore either. Sorry ponies i won't be making it to see you this evening as me too sleepy as it'll be after 8pm when I get home. However all going well i should be able to turn them out at midday tomorrow.

    1. Thankfully I think i am over the worst of it. Friday i was absolutely useless, Saturday was a bit better and Sunday was much better although because i hadn't eaten since Thursday evening I ran out of energy pretty quickly.
Today was a charged day at work so that too took it out of me - fingers crossed it'll be full systems go again as of tomorrow ☺

    1. They never mind days off from tack...days off from turnout - now that may be another story. But some bucking and farting and they get that out of their system ;-)

    1. I should hope so, I am thankful they are on full keep and i only have to "worry" about doing their stables on a Sunday and even then it's more a luxury for me (and them - clean straw) to be able to get stuck in as they will be cleaned by to barn workers first thing Monday morning.
I tell you they lead a Pampered Life!
I just get the uber-guilts when I can't go to turn them out for the afternoons - they really are spoiled compared to the 100 or so other horses boarded with them who don't get turned out between November and May!

    4. Hehehe! It's a sickness, I can't NOT comment LOL! I'm glad you enjoy it. :D I sometimes wonder if it's just annoying.

I guess you don't follow her blog. I posted about it on mine. Steele was chased by dogs, broke his leg and had to be put down. I've never met him, but it really tore me up and I've just not been in a blogging mood I guess. I'm feeling better now though and getting caught up and I finally got to ride today because the rain stopped!! :D
